On the road again....

The RV sat in the driveway all winter, and here it is, Feb. 27, and we are heading south.  It was a short first-day on the road, with us stopping in Dillon, South Carolina for the night.  We are at Bass Lake Campground, just off I-95, a small privately-owned campground that we stopped at about five years ago.  Ranger was happy with our decision to stop early, as it allowed plenty of time for a long walk around the grounds and the lake.

We must be in the South: the lake had this warning:

After starting the day at 32 degrees, it was nice to take off the jacket and enjoy the weather here: partly cloudy and upper 60's.  We were having an early spring at home, with daffodils and forsythia blooming already, and here too there are signs of spring.

While Ranger and I are relaxing, Dan is trying to fix the broken latch on one of the outside storage bins.  He's ordered new parts, but is trying to get a temporary fix that will get us through the next three weeks.  Always something.......

Tomorrow will be another short (300 mile) day, heading to southern Georgia.
