Today's drive took us through South Carolina and into Georgia. In mid-afternoon we reached our destination for the day: A Big Wheel RV Park in St. Marys, Georgia, on the GA/FL line. We had stayed at this campground once before, the first year we had the RV, and since then we had stayed a few times at the state park across the road, Crooked River State Park. Unfortunately, the woman who took the reservation missed my request for a pull-through and she assigned us a back-in site, so we had to unhook the car for the night. It is, however, a very nice site: concrete pad, lots of vegetation, and plenty of space.
Temperatures this afternoon got into the mid-80's, so it was a good time to switch from jeans and long-sleeved t-shirt into more appropriate clothes for the warm south. Ranger enjoyed some playtime at their fenced dog play yard and is spending the evening outside in the cooling air.
This RV park seems to be full of snowbirds who spend the entire winter here. There are lots of dogs to entertain Ranger.
Tomorrow is a relatively long day of travel, ending up along the Florida Panhandle between Panama City and Pensacola.
Hi guys, have a safe trip! Will follow your adventures! A fenced in dog park? How cool is that, Ranger must have loved it!
